If pastry fills you with dread then this course will give you the confidence you need to make your own shortcrust, flaky and choux pastry. You will leave with chocolate eclairs, sausage pie and a savoury flan to enjoy at home.
Homemade bread is so easy when you know how and can be very therapeutic too! On this half day course you will learn how to make seeded batch rolls, pita bread, focaccia and a quick and easy wholemeal loaf.
This is a relaxed and fun class where you will learn how to cook an authentic Green Thai Curry, Pad Thai, Crab Fried Rice and Spring Rolls. These dishes introduce you to the key flavours of Thai cookery, sweet, sour, salty and spicy and after the course you will feel more confident about replicating the dishes in your own kitchen.
The course is aimed at the novice cook. Enjoy a fun morning cooking and gaining confidence. Dishes to include the perfect steak with accompanying sauce, to be enjoyed for lunch, plus a simple fish dish and chicken korma.
This course will provide you with some inspiration for delicious gluten free baking recipes. You will learn how to make light and puffy gluten free chocolate eclairs, bakewell tarts and garlic tomato and basil tart with flaky pastry. So good, you won't know they are gluten free.
A course for the 'Bake Off' enthusiast, covering technical skills such as puff pastry and using it to make Pithivers with almond and creme patissiere filling. You will also make an impressive Dobos Torte Gateaux, all to take home and enjoy at your leisure.
To quote Henry James “there are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea”. Buttermilk scones, chocolate eclairs and white chocolate and raspberry tarts will be included.
A half day 'hands on' fish course where you will learn how to cook round and flat fish and cover skills such as filleting, skinning and pin-boning. You will learn how to make fish stock and sauces to serve with your fish. Taking home all you have produced.
